This is a bit of fun to quickly stitch for your sewing or crafting space; the model is finished as a sewing mat but would be equally great framed. Obviously, issues with dye lots are not unique to our current times, and I had to laugh when I found this antique thread display box!

The attention of clerks is directed to the importance of suggesting to customers that before beginning a piece of work, a fully sufficient amount of silk be procured, as afterwards difficulty may be experienced in obtaining exactly the same shade.

The design is completely monochromatic and perfect as a stash dive for that fabric or floss you’ve been saving.
